I had never really heard of Born From Pain up until now, I was expecting to hear the same song over and over with different lyrics, considering that's how several hardcore-metal bands sound these days.

I was pleasantly surprised when I heard their album; most of their songs had melodic vibes, harsh hardcore vocals, savage guitar riffs, and intense lyrics. I wouldn't have thought that those elements put together would make such a unique sound that not many hardcore metal artists can pull off.

My favorite tracks on the album are Sons of a Dying World, The Wolves Are Loose, and Final Collapse.

Born From Pain's Survival is a distinct and refreshing addition to this year's hardcore metal scene.
